Embark on the  Syria with Palmyra and Busra Tour – 4 Days of History and Culture
Begin your journey at Beirut or Damascus Airport, followed by a transfer to Damascus, one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Explore the historic Old City on a guided Damascus city tour, walking through its narrow alleys, visiting ancient mosques, traditional houses, and lively souqs that reflect centuries of Syrian culture.
On the second day, travel north to the historic town of Maaloula, known for its Christian heritage and Aramaic-speaking communities. Continue through Homs before visiting the impressive Krak des Chevaliers, one of the best-preserved Crusader castles in the world, a true marvel of medieval architecture.
Day three takes you to the scenic town of Al Mishtaya, nestled in the mountains, before venturing into the desert to explore the breathtaking ruins of Palmyra, where majestic columns and Roman structures tell the story of an ancient trading empire. Return to Damascus in the evening.
On the final day, visit Busra, famous for its Roman amphitheater and rich history, before concluding your journey with a transfer from Damascus to Beirut or Damascus Airport, leaving you with lasting memories of Syria’s remarkable history, culture, and hospitality.

Day 3 – ​Homs ​​»  Palmyra ​​» Damascus

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • We’ll head to Homs, the most affected city by the war, during our visit, we'll explore the Khaled Ibn Al-Walid Shrine and the St. Mary Church of the Holy Belt, two significant landmarks of the city.
  • Then, we will visit the ancient city of Palmyra, Syria's most iconic tourist destination. Notably, once a key city on the Silk Road, Palmyra briefly ruled its own empire in the 3rd century, stretching from Turkey to Egypt. However, despite being well-preserved, much of the city was sadly destroyed during the ISIS occupation in 2015.
  • During our tour we will explore what remains, including the Arch of Triumph, the Sulphur Spring, the Great Columns, the Theater, the Agora ,the castle, and the Tombs.
  • Furthermore, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional Bedouin tent restaurant, run by a local family. This is, indeed, a perfect opportunity to savor authentic Syrian cuisine while experiencing the warm hospitality of the region.
  • Afterward, we will drive back to Damascus, arriving just in time to enjoy a relaxing dinner in the city.
  • Additionally, there is an option to visit a traditional Hamam for an evening scrub! Moreover, there’s no better way to wrap up your first day in Damascus than by unwinding in one of its historic bathhouses.
  • Finally, overnight in Damascus.

Day 4 – ​Damascus ​​» Busra ​​» Beirut

  • After breakfast, we'll begin our tour.
  • The National Museum: Its visit provides an overview of the civilizations that have succeeded on Syrian soil. Specifically, it contains statues, seals, jewelry, masks, mosaics, tablets and weavings from the most important sites in the country.
  • We will visit the devastated Ghouta area, which was tragically attacked with chemical weapons by the Assad regime, a poignant reminder of the region's history and the resilience of its people.
  • we'll head south through the lush, fertile plains to the ancient city of Bosra al-Sham, which is certainly, home to the best-preserved Roman amphitheater in the world. 
  • Subsequently, We'll explore the city’s rich Roman heritage, including its baths and captivating historical tales. Meanwhile, while in the region, we’ll also have the chance to enjoy the renowned Malihi dish, a local specialty.
  •  ​Next, we’ll visit the original school in Daraa where the boys' graffiti ignited the revolution, and meet Muawiya Siyasneh, one of those boys, to hear his firsthand account of that pivotal moment in history.
  • back to Damascus and ​We will visit Mount Qasioun, the highest peak offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city of Damascus.
  • After breakfast, we'll visit the remaining tourist attractions in Damascus, including the modern districts, and enjoy some free time for shopping.
  • We'll then drive back to Beirut (or Damascus Airport), aiming to arrive by early evening, around 8 pm.
