The Beaumont Project in Syria
Syria has launched its first major tourism investment project, named the Beaumont (or Qasyoun) project in Damascus, which aligns with the country’s approach to integrated tourism and business development.
In fact, as Syria emerges into a new era of tourism, the Qasyoun project stands as a symbol of hope and opportunity for Syrians worldwide.

The Qasioun Journey project seeks to transform a previously military-restricted zone into a prominent tourist destination.
Mount Qasioun is being positioned as a new destination in Syria for visitors to explore, reflecting changes following the fall of the Assad regime. This initiative aims to promote tourism and enhance public access to the area, providing a fresh attraction for both locals and tourists alike.
Therefore, announced in April 2026, this project will cover 77,000 square meters and will connect Umayyad Square to the Qasyoun Mountain in Damascus.
Syria’s Minister of Tourism announced that the Qasioun project will fulfill the hopes and dreams of the Syrian people.
- Firstly, public spaces: The project will offer open public spaces, walking paths, and parks accessible to everyone.
- Secondly, cable car system: A small cable car will connect the Umayyad Garden with Qasioun Mountain, enhancing visitor mobility.
- Economic Impact: It is expected to create between 1,500 and 2,500 direct jobs and an additional 3,000 and 3,500 indirect jobs, thus boosting local economies through tourism.
- Two main towers: residential and hotel.

Qasyoun isn’t just a project; it’s Syria’s comeback story.
Where history meets hope, and every visitor becomes part of our nation’s revival.
