The Syrian government has raised visa prices for tourists

The Syrian government has implemented a new decision to raise tourist visa prices for travelers to Syria, This includes all nationalities.

Syria Visa

The Syrian Transitional Government has eliminated visa requirements for most visitors, requiring only a passport for entry. However, there are exceptions: Israeli citizens are prohibited from entering or transiting through Syria, Iranian citizens must secure prior authorization, and Lebanese citizens without a valid residence permit in another country or a Syrian family member must obtain a prior visa, The new authorities do stamp your passport directly.

Currently, there is no visa fee at the land borders and they only charge a Visa ff if arriving through Damascus or Aleppo Airports; however, this is expected to change soon as the new government establishes a payment system.
