    Saint Ananias Church: It is of particular importance because it is attached to the memory of Saint Paul. Before his conversion to Christianity, he had a vision here that blinded him for several days and gave him an unshakeable faith.

    The National Museum: Its visit provides an overview of the civilizations that have succeeded in Syrian soil. It contains statues, seals, jewelry, masks, mosaics, tablets and weavings from the most important sites in the country.
    Souk Al-Hamidiye : The most beautiful souk of Damascus. Its shops display all sorts of goods, especially clothes, fabrics, pastries and handicrafts.
    The Umayyad Mosque: Located in the heart of the Medina, the mosque is distinguished by its prayer room, its courtyard and its walls covered with mosaics.
    El-Azem Palace: Not far from the Great Mosque, in the labyrinth of the souk is the palace El-Azem. It is considered as the sumptuous model of the Damascene house whose exterior simplicity and sobriety do not suggest anything about a beautiful and rich interior, with many varieties of flowers, fruit trees and water jets.

  • Our first stop today will be at Saidnaya Home of a Greek Orthodox monastery traditionally held to have been founded by Byzantine emperor Justinian I, and where a renowned icon of the Virgin Mary is revered by both Christians and Muslims to this day. The town is noted for the large number of (Western Neo-) Aramaic speakers.
    Maaloula, a small Christian town that was almost completely decimated by ISIS in 2014. Greek Catholic Church, which was destroyed but has already largely been rebuilt.
    The monastery was founded by Mar Musa al-Habashi, or Saint Moses of Abyssinia who as legend has it, was the son of a king of Ethiopia. Refusing to accept his future as laid out on front of him, Saint Moses decided to become a Christian monk and later travelled to Syria

  • Visit the St. Mary Church of the Holy Belt, the Seat of the Syriac Orthodox Church, where the Virgin Mary’s belt was kept until shortly before the war. Fortunately, the belt was already removed before the church was looted and all the icons and artwork were burnt or stolen.

    Completed in 564, the last year of Byzantine Emperor Justinian’s reign, Qasr Ibn Wardan is in architectural terms perhaps the most remarkable and graceful of the Byzantine defensive outposts designed to ward off Persian invasion from the East.     The site spreads itself out over the rolling fertile plains of Northern Syria, and is believed to have been the center of an important north Syrian empire. A walk to the top of the unexcavated part of the tell reveals a view of the entire site: a city surrounded by circular walls with four gates. Just south of Aleppo, Ebla makes a perfect day-trip from Aleppo.
    The museum is the first in the world, including mosaics. The building of the museum is an Ottoman khan built by the governor, Murad Pasha al-Azm.

  • Breakfast . Departure to Apamea :
    Founded in 301 B.C., Apamea was one of the most important cities of North Syria in the Seleucid era.
    The Apamea site is considered one of the most affected sites as a result of ongoing illegal excavations, which are centred on the eastern, northeastern, and western regions of the city.
    Armed gangs have systematically carried out illegal excavations, using bulldozers and occasionally using electronic machines to search for metals, targeting mosaics.
    the Château de Saladin
    Beautiful citadel built by the Franks in the middle of the forests.
    The history of this stronghold is long: the Phoenicians had already fortified the place, Alexander the Great seized it, as well as the Byzantines a few centuries later. It is the Crusaders who, in the twelfth century, will give the castle its current appearance. At the time, it was called “Château de Saône” (named after a crusader). Its current name was only awarded in 1957, commemorating Saladin’s seizure of the place in 1188.

  • In order to pay tribute to Syria beloved leader Hafez Al-Asad, the tomb of Hafez Al-Asad was built. The pristine mausoleum is where Hafez Al-Asad and his son basil are entombed. Locals visit their favorite leader quite often in order to pay their tributes. On the other hand, tourists visit the Hafez Al-Asad tomb to witness its alluring architecture and to know more about the late leader himself.
    Kassab is the area near Turkish border where you see the Beauty of Syria nature when the mountains meet the sea, a very nice hike to reach the last point of Syria in north.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Continue to Ugarit , a coastal town north of Lattakia.
    Ugarit became famous thanks to the discovery of tablets of the oldest consonantal alphabet known to date. The first habitat, a large fortified village, dates back to the 8th millennium BC. The two immense palaces, later constructions, yielded archives and literary archives, attesting to an astonishing diversity of languages and five writing systems, including the consonantal alphabetical or Ugaritic script which dates from 14th century.
    Marqab Castle, also known as Margat, is a castle near Baniyas, Syria, which was a Crusader fortress and one of the major strongholds of the Knights Hospitaller . who already controlled Krak des Chevaliers, The two castles could exchange messages by smoke or mirrors via Chastel-Blanc (Safita), a smaller castle which was located in-between.
    Arwad : The island was settled in the early 2nd millennium BC by the Phoenicians. Located some 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Tripolis, The island was about 800 m long by 500 m wide, surrounded by a massive wall, and an artificial harbor was constructed on the east toward the mainland. It developed into a trading city in early times, as did most of the Phoenician cities on this coast.

  • Breakfast and head to Amrit, the classical Marathus, was a Phoenician port located near present-day Tartous in Syria. Founded in the third millennium BC, Marat was the northernmost important city of ancient Phoenicia and a rival of nearby Arwad .
    A ruined temple situated within a sheltered amphitheater in the mountains, this wild and rocky location, surprisingly verdant and cool, consists of gigantic half-collapsed ruins which were a site for cult worship for thousands of years. From around 2000 B.C. the Canaanites worshipped their god Baotocecian Baal here.
    Safita Tower, is located on a site where remains of the Phoenician settlement were discovered. It’s square is a chapel dedicated to St. Michael and serving the Greek Orthodox community of the city .
    Then we leave to krak Des Chevaliers, The most wholly admirable castle in the world." As Lawrence of Arabia commented. After a fascinating visit to the castle.

  • Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Palmyra: The one that the Romans baptized Palmyra (the city of palms) and that the Syrians call Tadmor (miracle in Aramaic) is the most important oasis of the Syrian Desert. Located 240 km from Damascus, Palmyra is the city of all superlatives. It arises in the midst of golden sands that extend to infinity. An oasis of columns remains and palm trees that testifies to the splendor of this city that made, one day, tremble Rome.
    The temple of Bel: It was for the Palmyrenes what Zeus was for the Greeks. Its temple is the largest and most majestic building in Palmyra, a unique example of fusion between Greco-Roman and oriental-inspired architecture.
    The theater and the big colonnade: It crosses the city on more than one kilometer by which the caravans arriving from the desert passed.

    The Church of St. George in Izra was built in 515 on the site of a pagan sanctuary, and the saint’s relics were long preserved there, later being transferred to Palestine by English King Richard the Lionhearted, with the saint’s finger remaining in the church in Izra.
    The church, made of basalt, is considered one of the main monuments of world Church architecture.
    Busra : a very ancient city, already mentioned in the inscriptions of Akhenaton, in the 14th century BC. The most important of its monuments is the famous Roman theater (2nd century AD), the one of the most beautiful and best preserved in the world. It is 45 meters long and has a depth of 8 meters. Its stands can accommodate seventeen thousand spectators.
    After Visit the most complete Roman amphitheater in the world and the other monuments head to Damascus.

    shrine of sayyida zaynab: this exquisite blue-tiled Damascus mosque houses the remains of Sayyidah Zaynab in a shrine adorned with crystal. It is a vitally important pilgrimage site for Muslims who come to pay mournful respect to her remains.
    The Memorial commemorates those formerly buried or commemorated in Damascus Indian War Cemetery .
    It was used by the 11th Combined Field Ambulance and the 66th Casualty Clearing Station between October 1918 and September 1919.
    Visit Moses Cave in Bludan and enjoy the vibes in Zabadani then head back to Damascus.
